Management Committee Briefing - September 2019

The following points were covered at the September 2019 Committee Meeting:

• Committee welcomed 3 new members
o Priscilla Maramba
o Ann Dickson
o James Bryce

• The following people were elected as office-bearers:
o Chairperson- Gordon Mason
o Vice –chairperson- Pat Heneghan
o Secretary- Colleen Sharp
o Treasurer- Robert Buchanan
o EVH Link- Linda Mason
o Pension Rep-Gordon Mason
o H&S – Linda Mason

• Office closures on the first Wednesday of the month to allow for training from 9 till 12 and occasionally to lunchtime.

• The quarterly development update was considered and the following noted:
o Discussion took place over the number of wheelchair properties to be built in the current programme. This was to be reviewed after meetings with Stirling Council
o Progress with the 35 homes at Howlands Road was noted

• The quarterly maintenance update was considered and the following noted:
o Performance across all sections was good.
o Noted Stage 3 allocation from the Scottish Government was restricted to 20K but this sum is insufficient compared to the increased and complex referrals being made. This was to be reviewed and reported back to Committee.

• The Staff Safety policy was approved.

• Financial Tender for a 5 million facility was discussed and approved and awarded to the Nationwide Building Society.

• The annual update to committee member’s declaration of interest statements were completed.

• The tender to the damaged property in Plean was homologated as this was approved at the AGM.

• Staffing Sub Committee approved the recruitment of two posts for the Housing Officer and Development Coordinator.
