Johnston Avenue, Cornton - Site Start

Cruden Building has commenced work at Johnston Avenue, Cornton. The project will see the development of 24 new homes offering a mix of new, energy-efficient, semi-detached, and terraced houses and cottage flats. The housing mix is as follows:

8 x 1 bedroom 2 person cottage flats (general needs)
4 x 2 bedroom 4 person cottage flats (general needs)
10 x 2 bedroom 4 person terraced houses(general needs)
2 x 3 bedroom 6 person semi-detached houses (general needs)

Allan Callaghan, managing director, Cruden Building, said: “We are delighted to carry on the strong working relationship previously forged between the Cruden Group and Forth Housing  as we begin work on this exciting new development in Stirling to deliver 24 high-quality homes. As with all Cruden Group developments, we will also support the local residents by providing a range of community benefits including valuable jobs and training opportunities during the build.”

Forth’s chair, Gordon Mason, added: “We are delighted to see works starting on the second phase of regeneration at Johnston Avenue, Cornton, which will provide a further 24 properties. This will address a real demand for high quality sustainable homes for affordable rent in an area where house prices and rents remain high.”

Works are due to complete in July 2022.
