Universal Credit Changes

Universal Credit Changes

As announced in the Autumn budget the work allowance and taper rate for Universal Credit will be changing as from 24th November 2021.

This means that those in receipt of universal credit and working will receive additional monies from universal credit. The taper rate will reduce from 63% to 55% which will mean receiving an additional 8p in Universal Credit payment for every £1 earned over the work allowance (if eligible for one). Work allowances will also increase by £500 per year (approx. £41 per month).
